JYJ Park Yuchun has returned as warm and peaceful Yutaka.
Park Yuchun, who has completed a successful acting debut by giving off his charm as a cold city man in KBS 2TV’s “SKK Scandal,” is out to transform his character into a warm city man Yutaka in MBC’s new Mon-Tues drama “Ripley” (script by Kim Sunyoung, directed by Choi Leesup).
On the 29th of last month, Park Yuchun, who visited Kyunggi Ilsan MBC Dream Center for “Ripley” poster shooting, brought to life both the city-refinedness and untainted charm of Yutaka wearing a white suit with a black color scheme on the collar.
On his character, Park Yuchun introduced him stating, “If Lee Sunjoon from ‘SKK Scandal’ is like the answer key to multiple choice questions, poor at portraying his emotions, Yutaka in ‘Ripley’ is full of emotion and is unrelenting in portraying [his emotions] like an answer key to essay/subjective questions.”
Furthermore, he showed strong enthusiasm stating, “I learned through my previous work that it is extremely hard to be completely engaged in one character. However, I was very happy and had fun during the intense times that I spent worrying about the character. My heart flutters with the thought that I can once again show a different side [of myself].”
Meanwhile, during the time of the poster shoot, Park Yuchun faithfully received applause from the staff at the scene by participating in the shoot until the end despite not having recovered from emergency hospitalization due to his acute pancreatitis.
“Ripley” is set in a 21st century city hotel which leads the economy and cultural fashion market, and is a traditional melodrama which handles work and love, the humans’ greed and love hidden in its splendid success and failure. Along with Park Yuchun, Lee Da Hae, Kim Seungwoo, and Kang Haejung stars. May 30th is the first air date.
