Group JYJ’s world tour concert moves its stage to North America.
On the 19th, JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment revealed, “JYJ will start its concerts in North America on the 20th at 8pm in Canada Vancouver’s ‘Rogers Arena.'”
For their North American world tour concerts, JYJ is working with AEG Live, a promoter which is ranked #2 in the world and has planned performances with the world’s best pop artists such as Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi, and Usher.
Furthermore, the overall directing will be led by choreographer Jeri Slaughter, who has been in charge of Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez’s concerts.
By singing 24 songs from their worldwide album, “The Beginning” and songs composed by themselves live at large-scale stages which seats at least 7000 people, JYJ is determined to create a stepping stone to position themselves as global artists.
Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, who attended a press conference in LA before their Canada Vancouver concert, showed their thankfulness for their fans, stating “when we are on stage, we actually are consoled by our fans.”
Furthermore, JYJ revealed their strong ambititions, stating “a different challenge which will allow us to receive recognition for our potential will soon unfold. We will show a stage which can gain recognition in diversely-cultured America. We will fill the venue with deep emotions.”
Meanwhile, JYJ’s North American tour will begin in Vancouver, Canada on May 22nd and will be held in 3 American cities, New Jersey on May 22nd, LA on May 27th, and San Jose on June 2nd. Afterward, they will have a charity concert on June 7th in Japan, and will return to Korea and hold their concerts in Busan for two days on June 11th and 12th.
